Essay
This is a visual exploration of the
idea of time. Stemming from the idea of what is real verses what we as people
store away as being real. It is an observational piece on our need to save and
make sense of our own fluidity and that of time. Our need to make concrete
structures from within our abstract existence .
This project came about from the conspicuous age old discussion on what is real and what is not real, in the context of film making. This striving to what one represents on screen and how in this transmission it losses its truth. My temporary, conclusion on this topic is clearly summed up by a verse by, T. S Eliot in Ash Wednesday. Of what is now is real and no, it can never be recreated or held on to. Thus I have used the comparison between literal fluidity and concreteness. It is an observational piece, rather than a statement.
