Chiplo Batoe- A slippery path
Based in Kalimpong- a town in Darjeeling,
Yang wants to go for the indian idol against the wishes of his father and is trying to get the car as a strike is going to break in town. His mother concedes and gives it to him as a second chance to improve his life. His car gets stuck in a slippery road below a landslide and he spends the day trying to get the car out without help from town as it is a strike an dnobody helps.
Ultimately he is left with no other choice than to go back home defeated.
The film is centered around a frustration that comes from a feeling of helplessness, of being overpowered by the circumstances brought about by the enviorment and societies around us.
